Lock&Unlock

This web wheel sequentially locks and unlocks your pc (tried it only on Windows XP). It uses the "Lock" app earlier published. This is what you've got to do to make it work: 1. Create a shortcut in C:/ (rightmouse click > new > shortcut), and paste following text in the first screen when asked for the location to link to: rundll32.exe user32.dll, LockWorkStation. Name the shortcut "lockpc". 2. Download the logon.exe file from http://www.softtreetech.com/24x7/archive/51.htm 3. Create a file in the same dir as where you've downloaded logon.exe to and give it the following content: logon -p YourPasswordToUnlockYourPC Name this file logon.bat. 4. Create a shortcut in C:/ (rightmouse click > new > shortcut), and browse to the logon.bat file in the first screen when asked for the location to link to. Name the shortcut "unlockpc".

Windows 7

i can get the locking process to work but unlocking won't work. when i unlock the system manually and then try to unlock using the tag it does show a command screen which pops up and then disappears, so the batch file does launch, but it won't log on.
any comments?

i'm running Windows 7 64-bit

Vista

For those on Vista... it doesn't work :(

it actually does work in Vista

but in order to make it work you first have to make sure logging on is managed by pressing ctrl+alt+del.
you see, the logon.exe file simulates pressing ctrl+alt+del, then fills in the username and/or password boxes and then presses enter.

to make sure you have to press ctrl+alt+del for logging on press start, then search for netplwiz and hit enter. go to the 'advanced' tab and check the box that says "Require users to press Ctrl+Alt+Delete

now it should work.

i'm currently figuring out how to make this work in windows 7, because this method doesn't.
