Lock

Another application inspired by the Standby and Shutdown application. It locks my workstation (win xp) with a simple touch. I created a shortcut in my 'C:/tikitag/' directory (rightmouse click > new > shortcut), and pasted following text in the first screen when asked for the location to link to: rundll32.exe user32.dll, LockWorkStation Then I named the shortcut "lock" and created a weblink application that uses following URL: file:\\C:\tikitag\lock.lnk

tag not responding

Hey, i've found out that this app doesn't work for me.
I've created the shortcut, also tested it, when i doubleclick it the system locks, so there's no problem there.

but when i assign it to file:///C:/tikitag/lock.lnk (yes that's where my shortcut is placed) and then put a tag on the reader nothing happens.

I also tried to assign a tag to opening my internet browser, and that all worked neatly.

so i'm not sure what i'm doing wrong, can someone please help me?

ie7 fix

This IE7 anomaly has caused us trouble in certain environments since a long time... We're planning an upgrade during the weekend that should (hopefully) solve this issue.

same problem, boxes disappear

firefox works ok

Issue with IE

I've experienced an issue with Internet Explorer (IE), the box to enter the URL and the 'next' button wouldn't appear.

My solution was to use Firefox instead, but I understand this has been fixed already?

assign tag

Hi,

to assign a tag you should:

- hit 'make a new application'

- Step 1: select 'Web Link'

- Step 2: choose a name for your app

- Step 2: use as URL file:///<path to the shortcut>

- Step 2: hit 'use this app'

- Step 3: put a tag on the reader when you're asked to do so

- Step 3: hit 'choose this tag'

- Step 4: conclude by hitting 'OK make this app'

how do you assign a tag to this?

Hi there, got the shortcuts working, but how do you assign the tag to lock the computer when you configure it?

unlock ?

I'm sure you can find the solution for unlocking your PC once it's locked too, right tikicedric ? Come on :)
