offline tikitag reader

I've seen a few requests for offline tikitag use and would suggest, as tikitag reader is pcsc compliant, that you should look at winscard.dll, scard, apdu commands, acr122 reader (which is the tikicard reader) and scardx by Scard Soft, a activex control....http://www.scardsoft.com

all of which i've used with other readers and have ported to use with tikitag.

hope that helps some....

i dont get what this dose,

i dont get what this dose, sorry im a bit dim when trying to understand tikitag. all i want to do is open an app on my pc but not sure if this program will do it but with this off line thing can i open apps off line?
cheers

i dont get what this dose,

Launching an program is easy using the tikitag system,

Assuming you are using Windoze, For example I’ll use Excel,

Install tikitag software and reader

Create a shortcut to the app you want to open in a directory somewhere (I’ll use “c:\tikitag”)
In that directory, right click and select “New” then “Shortcut”.
Locate the Microsoft Excel program ("C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\EXCEL.EXE" )
Name the shortcut “excel”
Log into to tikitag and go to the dashboard
Click “make new application”
Click “web link” application
Click “choose this application”

Add name (excel)
Add description (Whatever)
Add url (file:///C:\tikitag\excel.lnk)
Select “use this app”
Put tag on reader when requested
Click “Choose this tag”
Click “OK make this tag”

When you next put the tag on the reader it should open Excel, or whatever program you choose, using the tikitag server

(Or alternatively you can just click the icon on the desktop )

Hope that helps somewhat…

offline

By the way how could I obtain this behaviour when I'm offline?

I have a little question

Hello Sir,

Thank you for your guidance. But if want to open a specific EXCEL file, not just launch the EXCEL application, how should I do? Right now I can only start the iTune program, but cannot open an mp3
file using iTune (or other media player program)

Thanks,
Jed
