touchatag crash on OS X Lion

The touchatag application crashes after some random amount of use (or sometimes just after reading a tag) with the following crash report being generated

Hi,

The problem seems to, once again, be at Apple’s side. They have a hard time getting their smart card drivers ready when they launch a new OS. We had a similar issue with 10.6 that was only solved after the second update. On the http://touchatag.com/downloads page there are instructions on how to remove the drivers cleanly form your system. You might want to try that, reboot and then re-install them. 

I apologize for the inconvenience, but this issue seems to lie beyond our control.

uninstalling, rebooting, reinstalling doesn't fix

hi hans,

thank you for the advice to uninstall, reboot and re-install. however, when i tried those steps it did not fix the crashing problem.

i appreciate any assistance you continue to give! :-)
