Is this currently possible?

by CaptainChainsaw, 26 Nov 2009

Hi all,

I'm wondering if these two ideas are currently possible with touchatag:

1-

login to a website with a username and password without storing the username and password on the touchatag application. I'm thinking I'll need to use one of the apps to get the ID of the RFID chip and then do some kind of login process to the website.

2-

automatically updating a users facebook status and updating a custom made profile to say that the user "is now on the premises". This would be used to show if a user is in a building and show the date and time that the RFID chip was used on the reader.

Thank you,

CC

Hi,,, I am new one here but

Hi,,, I am new one here but it is very easy to log in at this site. I found this site good. Hope you will be.

rachel

working on something like this.

Actually, I'm working on a script to handle all my own custom uses of the tags. I use the advanced http to do a form post passing along the tag ID and a username and password I made up (just so nobody can hit my script from the web.

So far, I just have one tag configured to email to the SMS address for my phone, but the idea is to expand it to be able to do all sorts of things like update Facebook, turn on the lights in my house, etc. I'll update here when I have more done.

Follow-Up

I know it has been a while since you updated this, but what kind of progress have you made? I am looking at purchasing one of the startup kits and would like to build some similar programs to what you currently have. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

John
