Its very short sighted to not allow users to assign the range of tags that you shipped to us in our accounts without using your reader. Not only short sighted, but very greedy. I have a number of possibilities of things I can do with these tags on my phone, but instead you have limited this to a very small number of things by tying it back to your web page and by requireing a PC with a reader in order to set it up. Please fix this.
I have Mac osx Lion and the reader can't read any tag.
We have seen similar behavior with the introduction of Snow Leopard - we are looking into the problem, but this is most likely due to poor implementation of the smart card drivers in OSX. We will keep the community posted on any progress on this subject.
um... the explaination that hans gave is pretty clear - just target the applescript using a file:/// path in the url field instead of a http:// path
actually, i found that you have to make it an executable when saving the script as in: scriptname.app

thank you for the advice to uninstall, reboot and re-install. however, when i tried those steps it did not fix the crashing problem.

Hi,
The problem seems to, once again, be at Apple’s side. They have a hard time getting their smart card drivers ready when they launch a new OS. We had a similar issue with 10.6 that was only solved after the second update. On the http://touchatag.com/downloads page there are instructions on how to remove the drivers cleanly form your system. You might want to try that, reboot and then re-install them.
I apologize for the inconvenience, but this issue seems to lie beyond our control.

i got the new lion mac osx drivers and installed them and my reader crashes but it's more than i can tolerate. it's especially troublesome because i am currently demoing RFID at my company and I am somewhat embarrased when the application crashes. any help appreciated.
Using the weblink app (http://www.touchatag.com/application/web-link-application) you can open URLs, and also local files.
Just refer to the script file like so: file://YourRootFolder/someOtherFolder/yourscript.scpt
When the tag is read out it will open the script.

That should make everything work fine on Lion.

I'm using Lion and just installed my touchatag. It seems to run for me, but crashes from time to time. Perhaps uninstalling both the application and the driver, then reinstalling would give your better results?

Ett litet test
Make a setting file (.rdp) file with Remote Desktop Connection.
Put it on your C:\ drive
Then make a tag with the web link and by the link you put in the adress : file://C:/yourname.rdp
And thats it!
