Touchatag supports 2D barcodes (or, QR codes)
What is a 2D barcode?
A 2D barcode is a two-dimensional way of representing information. It is similar to a linear (1-dimensional) barcode, but has more data representation capability. There are many types of 2D barcodes. Touchatag supports the QR code ISO standard because it is one of the most widely accepted 2d barcode standards. The term QR Code itself is a registered trademark of Denso Wave Incorporated in Japan and other countries.

How to use it?
Via the touchatag configurator or browser plugin, you can create a 2D barcode and link it to an application, e.g. web link application. You can then print or copy the 2D barcode and apply it to an object, show it on a web page or send it via e-mail. Users with a camera phone equipped with the correct reader software can scan the image of the QR Code causing the phone's browser to launch and redirect to the application selected by the configurator, e.g. a website.
